The New York DJ/production duo of Tommy Musto & Frankie ‘Bones’ Mitchell delivered a handful of memorable singles and remixes in the early-1990s. “All I Want Is To Get Away” is the lead track on Musto & Bones’ 1990 album “The Future Is Ours.”

INFO > Formed in 1983 and hailing from Liverpool, The Farm’s first four singles failed to find them an audience. A massive lineup change ensued in 1986, but it wasn’t until 1990 that The Farm cracked the UK charts with a cover of the Boyce and Hart tune, “(I’m Not Your) Steppin’ Stone”, a US Top 20 hit for The Monkees in 1966. Follow-up single “Groovy Train” drove a path due east toward Madchester, and successfully latched the band onto that scene. The US CD maxi-single compiles Tommy Musto & Frankie Bones remixes of both “Groovy Train” and “All Together Now”, along with the original version of “Stepping Stone” and Mark Saunders produced single, “Mind.”

INFO > New York DJ/producers Tommy Musto and Frankie ‘Bones’ Mitchell enjoyed a successful partnership in the late-80s and early-90s. The duo’s 1990 club hit “Dangerous On The Dancefloor” features the People Can Party posse on vocals. Back in my college days, this tune filled the floor at The Lion’s Den, a popular late-night dance destination for Penn Staters.
