INFO > While no compilation featuring both Vanilla Ice AND MC Hammer can be fairly described as ‘awesome’ (and certainly not with two exclamation points), this ain’t a bad collection of chart hits from 1990-91. The emphasis is mostly on danceable selections, with a couple of random guitar tunes tossed in. I probably would have binned this long ago, were it not the only digital source for François Kervorkian’s 1990 remix edit of “Situation.”

Dark Secret Revealed!! > I briefly owned Vanilla Ice’s “To The Extreme”, but bartered it for gas money during a road trip back in my college days (I clearly got the better part of that deal).

  1. I bartered my MC Hammer CD for a 6-pack of beer back in the day. I as well, clearly got the better end of deal due to the fact I needed a 6-pack to listen to that CD.LOL

    • Ha ha!! Your negotiation skills are commendable, FP. But only one 6-pack to make MC Hammer listenable? That might require a case, my friend. Hammer time = Miller time.

  2. This is a fun compilation. Thank you for all you do!

  3. Hey! Don’t dis da Hammer. This track and his trousers will be remembered long after your so-called ‘house party’ music will be long forgotten.
